So this is a little project I did when I wanted to write something unbelievably pretty. Unfortunately, with my writing these days, I have a tendency to focus too much on the wording, or to attempt some form of wordplay, or create some other hurdle for myself that I struggle to overcome to create something beautiful.

And I wanted to avoid all that. Just create something that could be read a thousand different ways and still sound really calming and pleasing, almost like an ancient lullaby.

And while the words in this are indeed beautiful nonsense, it's hard to read it without applying some image or story, because at least in English, we have far too many words now. I know this because it was actually hard to come up with beautiful words that weren't already in existence. And because of that, there's a tendency for the mind to combine the unfamiliar beautiful nonsense with a beautiful reality, and thereby depict something that isn't really there. So it's a subconscious, dreamlike thing, I suppose. A little like Joyce's writing, but just a bit simpler. And yes, I deliberately played with that throughout, adding portmanteaus and picking imaginary words close to real ones, in hopes it would make people dream.

Hope you can take the time and enjoy it. If not, thanks for reading.

Oh, and yes, I do plan on reading this aloud. When I do, I'll post a link right here in the description. :)
