BY THE POWER OF GAYSKULL...He-Man declares this deviation "fabulous."

Yep. The skull symbol--flaming and proud.

A few days ago, I was thinking about the little rainbow symbol that stands for the LGBT movement. It's such a happy little symbol. The only thing is, gays are often stereotyped as being incredibly effeminate, and that having something that's as upbeat as a rainbow doesn't really help with that image. So I took it upon myself to come up with a new logo; something that says "I'm gay, but I'm still a badass." And that's when it hit me: "duuuuuude, draw a rainbow flaming skull!" And for some odd reason, it seems even more badass than a regular skull. Seriously, this thing could eat your soul. You could have this tattooed on your arm, walk into a bar, and I really don't think anyone would mess with you.

I probably spent more time on this than necessary, and that means that there was a lot of time for pondering, especially over the intentional and unintentional stylistic elements. Notice the banner in its butch western font, a clear throwback to Brokeback mountain. The banner was also going to be straight, but looking back on that, I'm glad I made it wavy. Also note the flames. Obviously, I had to do purple, since that's the color normally associated with Gay Pride (although I'm not sure if it's official), and a small amount of hot pink, mainly for the sake of irony and good humor. Yes, this thing has purple and hot pink flames, and it still looks like the promotional poster for a Tarentino flick. I'm pretty happy about that. Haha. Happy. Gay. Pun (although really, I'm straight). Another interesting aspect of this is that the rainbow is actually color-matched to the official colors of the LGBT rainbow flag, and it's even in the right order. It felt a little weird typing "gay pride" into Google, and hitting enter, but I did it anyway. I'm just glad I used Wikipedia instead of Google Image Search in order to find it. Somehow, I don't think the latter would have ended well.

Oh, and I'm sorry if this offends anyone. That's really not my intent. I'm not homophobic at all, and I heartily endorse the evils of the gay agenda (you know, marriage, world domination, and stuff like that). This is just my odd sense of humor showing through. :)
